Yesterday on Wednesday, September 12th, the Lyndhurst Women’s Club courteously hosted Bergen County CASA at their first meeting of the year. After treating CASA to a wonderful, homemade lunch, club President Rosemary McGuigan introduced Executive Director Ellen Davis to the 52-member group.

Following an overview of CASA’s duties and goals, the projector sparked on and the short film Re-Moved began. We at CASA have already spoken at length in the past about the undeniable impact this film has. Even on repeat viewings, it remains a painfully accurate portrait of a foster child’s life as well as a tremendous catalyst for starting a conversation on the subject. This screening was no different.

The women of Lyndhurst, clearly touched by the images on screen, were moved to enthusiastically engage with Ellen during the Q&A session.
