Board of Trustees
A volunteer Board of Trustees with varied skill sets directs and leads the mission of CASA for Children of Bergen County. In addition, our Advisory Committee provides additional skills and expertise.
We are always looking for board members who are dedicated to making a difference for the children we serve.
Zonie LeSane is a lifelong Bergen County resident and a devoted public advocate with her focus in the community. She is a certified paralegal specialist who became aware of CASA when she started working for the Bergen County Surrogate’s Court as an adoption paralegal. Zonie currently works in the Bergen County Adjuster’s Office, Department of Law assisting in investigations for charity care for eligible Bergen County residents.
Zonie has also worked for the Bergen County Department of Health Services and received training in: Chronic Disease Self-Management Peer Leader Certificate, Emergency Management Institute FEMA, Disaster Relief Crisis Counselor Certificate, National Incident Management System (NIMS), Mental Health First Aid USA Instructor and Certified CPR First Aid. She is currently studying for her master’s in public administration at Rutgers University.
She is a member of Emerge New Jersey for Woman and Ridgewood AM Rotary; a shop steward for USW Local 755, and serves on the Bergen County African American Advisory Committee. She is a past board member of the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce and Friends of the Ridgewood Library.

Suzanne Ordas Curry
Suzanne Ordas Curry is the current Advisory Committee Chair, which boasts a roster of ten members with a wide range of experiences. In 2011 she joined CASA as a committee member and was president for four years. Suzanne owns a public relations firm and also produces films, many with social impact. From executive producer to producer of marketing and distribution, she is attached to award-winning and Emmy- nominated films and series with talents including Jamie Lee Curtis, Christina Hendricks, Alysia Reiner, Anna Gunn, and more. In addition to CASA, Suzanne serves on other boards including “Artists for Change,” is a juror for two film festivals and lends her expertise to environmental causes.
